OBJECTIVE
We were asked to create a documentary film about the issues that concern smallholder farmers in the cocoa and palm oil industries in Cameroon.
The initial challenge we tackled was the extensive research phase, during which we conducted interviews with all stakeholders involved in the project. This was done to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic and to effectively integrate all gathered information into the project.
Our team spent 14 days in Cameroon, during which we successfully captured everything from interviews to b-roll footage and drone shots necessary for the final edit. Recognizing the importance of breaks within the storyline, we opted to include an old DV camera to facilitate creative editing phases throughout the narrative.

THE SOLUTION
The 18-minute film serves as a call to action, urging a critical assessment of current public and private policies regarding deforestation-free supply chains. Drawing from our extensive experience tackling similar issues in countries like Cameroon, we were empowered to undertake a project of this magnitude, involving comprehensive research across various sectors.
