OBJECTIVE

Hand in Hand has a clear vision: to create long-term change by empowering individuals through knowledge and entrepreneurship. Over the years, we've collaborated with them across a wide range of formats. For this film, the goal was to build something more personal and emotional, a narrative that could humanize the scale of their mission and bring the viewer closer to the heart of their impact. The idea was to tell a story that highlights not just the outcome, but the connection between generations and the ripple effect of opportunity.

THE SOLUTION

We began by gathering our team for a deep-dive workshop into Hand in Hand’s work, values, and long-term goals. From there, we developed three creative directions, one of which focused on telling the story through the eyes of a daughter. That approach was selected, and it became the foundation for the project.

By following the daily routines of a mother and daughter, we crafted a visual narrative grounded in shared human experience. Each scene was treated with documentary care, capturing small, universal moments that reflect something bigger: growth, dignity, and the passing of knowledge. The result is a quiet, powerful film that connects viewers to the essence of what Hand in Hand stands for: building a better future, one person at a time.

"This was truly one for the books.  Personally such a special experience for me.  Being half African but never really explored that side of myself since my biological father left earth early on, it was so heart warming to have the people in Kenya embrace me and most of all look at me like I was one of them.  As soon as i stepped foot in Kenya it was like that but times a billion.  So being there and using my craft for the amazing people at Hand in Hand who works for such a valuable cause, I couldn’t express how much it means to be a part of it.  Thanks to all you all and all the people from Kenya taking part in this "
