Swedish rapper Jacco’s new song "Vad vet du om oss?” opens a window into one of today’s most pressing issues: gang violence. Yet, beneath the surface, the theme reaches into something more personal and complex.
The TERRAN crew returned to our roots by immersing ourselves fully into the story, environment, and people. For three days, we lived and filmed in the neighborhood of Gottsunda, Uppsala, sharing everyday moments with those both in front of and behind the camera.
This closeness and trust allowed us to capture something raw and authentic. We believe that the deeper we connect with the people and the more joy we share as a crew, the more truthful and powerful the final film becomes.

THE SOLUTION
Director Enzo Paredes invited us to expand this perspective into a short film, Vad vet du om oss?, highlighting the role society plays in shaping identity, how segregation and stereotypes weigh on young people, and how the labels placed upon beings shape who they become.
The film explores how segregation and stereotyping condition individuals to become what they are labeled as. Through the story of a young boy, we set out to create an emotional narrative about belonging, perception, and the life choices shaped by them.

SYNOPSIS
Four lives, four perspectives intersect in a marginalised suburb.
At the centre, a child stands still, as the adult world moves around them, offering no sense of direction. This is a story about growing up in the silence of neglect, where no one listens and judgment is swift.

"The film grew out of an ongoing conversation with Jacco, whose song was written from four perspectives. From there, we began exploring what happens when children grow up without guidance, especially in environments lacking a safety net. The loneliness of a child speaking only to himself became the heart of our protagonist. The experience of making the film was just as powerful: with Jacco being local, we had incredible support from the community. His son Illias, played the young Adam; his mother was involved, and about 90% of the cast and locations came from Gottsunda, the very place where Jacco grew up."
