OBJECTIVE
Mindfully is a meditation and mindfulness app designed to help people bring more presence and awareness into their lives. They approached Terran with a desire to create visual storytelling that truly reflected who they are and what mindfulness can look like in an everyday life.
The goal was to create a brand film, new visual imagery, while also documenting Mindfully’s annual retreat in Lofoten, Norway. Kegen, Pontus and Maria embarked on a journey to immerse themselves in the experience and explore what it truly means to be present, and how this can be visualized.

THE SOLUTION
We wanted to explore mindfulness beyond the traditional portraying of meditation. Instead, we developed a narrative around a character experiencing moments of presence throughout her daily life, even in moments that feels like an impossible achievement like screaming kids and rush-hour chaos.
By blending the peaceful landscapes in Lofoten with scenes of city life, family moments, and stressful morning routines, we created a brand film that showed that being present is not about escaping life, but about finding presence within it.Besides the brand film we also documented the experience of their retreat,

"Meditation and mindfulness have had a real impact on my own life, so the Mindfully project felt personal from the beginning.
One of the biggest creative challenges was finding a visual language for mindfulness without portraying it through the obvious clichés. So instead, we focused on moments that so easily pass us by, while also getting really close to details with the camera to amplify the feeling of being present in the moment.
Being in Lofoten also gave us the freedom to be spontaneous, and many of my favourite shots came from simply being in the landscape and capturing moments as they unfolded with a run-and-gun approach. And doing it with Kegen by my side and Maria in front of the camera made it an experience I’ll be forever grateful for."
