Vänsterpartiet wanted to make a pre-election campaign, highlighting social structures in a edgy way. The content was to be printed ads around Stockholm, cinema spots and SoMe content.

THE SOLUTION
We developed a concept around references we liked where pans and zooms glued the scenes together as the whole film was shoot in one recording, to give life to a visual piece that would stand out amongst all the other political campaigns at the same time.

STORY LINE
The film follows a people through different stages of life, using everyday moments, humour and unexpected visual situations to explore the foundations of a strong society. Rather than explaining the political message directly, we wanted the imagery and the progression of the story to speak for itself.
Our world starts with a bodybuilder fixing the road in his community, while children are seen playing in the background, showcasing that we need to take care of both infrastructure and not forget the vibe of the youth.
The movement of the kids takes us to the next scene, where money rain down on a school adding to the importance of building a strong and resilient school system for the whole nation. With a zoom-in, we end up at a proposal where a beautiful woman asks her man for his hand. This leads to a hot moment in an old Volvo 240, and later to her being pregnant on the subway. Their children are now teenagers, and later we find them in a bar full of people, where the music is buzzing and the video comes to an end.

From the very first meeting with Vänsterpartiet Stockholm,
I knew we had something special. I left the room creatively inspired and excited about what we could make together. We were going to create a political campaign that felt different, something powerful, sexy and, hopefully, impactful for this very important Swedish election. Time was not on our side. We had just two weeks from the first meeting to getting on set and finalising everything. But the team was on fire. Everyone pushed hard, had fun along the way, and brought the campaign idea to life.
Seeing my photograph of the kissing couple stretched across the back of buses driving around Stockholm… I can’t lie, that made me proud.
Most of all, I hope the picture made people pause for a second — and remember that love is something worth fighting for.
